Main Applications of Silicone Weatherproof Sealant

Silicone weatherproof sealant is one of the most widely used sealing materials in building sealing. Main applications include:

1. Curtain wall joints: waterproof sealing of expansion and assembly joints between glass/aluminum curtain wall panels.

2. Door & window sealing: sealing between frames and walls, between glass and profiles, providing waterproofing and insulation.

3. Aluminum/metal panel joints: weatherproof sealing of aluminum composite panels, metal roofing and color steel sheets.

4. Stone/ceramic joints: elastic sealing of stone curtain walls and tile facades.

5. Other outdoor joints: waterproof sealing around air-conditioner holes, wall penetrations, skylights and sunrooms.

When selecting weatherproof sealant, pay attention to movement capability (ideally ≥±20%), UV aging resistance and service temperature range, and ensure the substrate is clean and dry before application.
